Defensive Pistol (CCW) Certified

Training Goal: Give you the handgun handling skills and mental awareness to apply for a concealed carry permit in California. Taking this class does not guarantee you will be approved by your local law enforcement agency.

Cost: $550.00 due two weeks prior to class, 50% cancellation fee if cancelled within 7 days of the class. Your downpayment can be made with cash or check. For legal reasons, your final payment is due in cash, on the first day of class.

Prerequisites: None

Class Duration: 16 hours, held over two or three days

Lecture Topics: Safe firearm handling, legal aspects of carrying a concealed weapon, mindset/awareness, scenarious you may encounter, use of deadly force and common sense.

Firing Range Goals: Developing safe gun handling skills. Developing speed and accuracy at defensive ranges.

Equipment:

  • Handgun in good working order
  • 750 rounds of ammunition (minimum)
  • Wrap around eye protection
  • Ear protection (eletronic recommended)
  • Sunscreen
  • Strong side hip holster
  • Sturdy belt
  • 2 Magazine pouches
  • 5 magazines minimum, 10 recommended
  • Seasonally appropriate clothing
  • Lunch
  • Water
  • Mosquito repellent (DEET recommended)

    Attendance at any class is subject to approval of the students application.
